Overwhelming Emotions
Emotions such as anxiety, depression, or anger, when out of control can feel like they are taking over. It can be frustrating when these emotions effect our day to day life in a negative way. Or maybe they are showing up in certain situations. I will support you in understanding these emotions on a deeper level. By bringing awareness and understanding to these emotions we can get them back to a more balanced level. I will help you to find the root cause of these emotions. Together we will work on tools to help regulate your nervous system and take back control.

Empowerment
Often adverse life experiences can lead to limiting beliefs about ourselves. We may struggle with low self-worth and feel as though we are not good enough or less than. We may have taken on the views of others and see ourselves in a negative light. Often these views start as far back as childhood. Bringing awareness to the root of these beliefs we can develop understanding and self-compassion. I will help you learn tools to combat negative self-talk, and build new beliefs that will make you feel empowered. By building on your strengths, fostering self-love and implementing self-care you will start to uncover the best version of yourself. My goal is to help you feel confident and for you to shine your brightest.
Addiction
Addiction is a difficult issue that can be all consuming. Whether you are just noticing behaviors that are getting to be out of control, or this is an issue that has effected your life in a negative way for a long time I am here to help. Often when people struggle with addiction they feel a loss of control. The reward system of the brain has taken over. It can feel like nothing else brings joy into your life anymore. I will help you find your inner strength to take back control. Putting plans and tools in place to take back control of your life whether it is a drug, alcohol, gambling, sex, social media or food addiction my goal is to build you up to take your life back. I understand that in most cases addiction comes from pain. Understanding why the use of the substance or why the behaviour began in the first place is vital. I will always approach your situation with compassion and empathy.
Loved Ones of Those in Addiction
Is someone in your life struggling with addiction? Addiction is an issue that tends to have a ripple effect and can effect whole families. When you watch someone you love struggle in addiction it can be heart breaking. Often we can find ourselves trying to control the situation to help the addict, wanting to do whatever it takes to get them to stop. This can lead to feeling out of control, checking phones, questioning where they are, long nights waiting up or looking through their things. It can be hard to not have the loved ones addiction take over your life too. It is often a place where people feel very alone as their is so much stigma around addiction and other people can tend to not understand. It can bring overwhelming feelings of betrayal, abandonment and sadness. It can be a confusing place where you are trying to balance being there for the addict while not enabling their behaviours. I am here to tell you there are ways of moving forward, learning skills to put yourself first and to build healthy boundaries. Breaking patterns of codependency and understanding that we can not control others but we can control how we show up in each situation. Often loved ones of addicts feel as though their issues do not matter compared to everything else going on. But you do matter and you deserve help and support too. I know it is a hard journey and I will approach your situation with the upmost compassion and care.

Just like every human is unique so is every relationship. Whether it is family dynamics, friendships, co-workers or romantic partners sometimes it can feel difficult to manage how we interact with the people around us. Often emotions can be easily trigged when there is a colorful history attached to the relationship. Many times it is differences in communication styles that can cause people conflict. If you are struggling with a relationship with someone in your life or if you are a couple wanting to process relationship issues, I am here to help. I will support you to build and maintain bridges with the people in your life so you can navigate relationships more smoothly.
